Who is not suitable for micropigmentation?

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women.

  • Those under 18 years of age, the legal age of consent for tattooing.

  • Those with certain dermatological conditions (eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis) in the area where the treatment is desired (eyebrows/lips).

  • Individuals with known allergies to anesthesics or dyes.

  • Individuals with certain medical conditions, on blood thinners or with uncontrolled diabetes.

Always check with your GP before undergoing treatment if you have any medical conditions.

What does a full treatment consist of?

A full treatment always requires 2 sessions; 1st session and 2nd session (touch-up session) spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

Each session includes cleansing, numbing cream, skin preparation and hydration, mapping, pigments, aftercare cream and instructions.

How long does the procedure take?

The average session lasts between 2 to 4 hours, depending on the individual and the area being treated.

Does it hurt?

Most clients report mild discomfort rather than pain. A topical anesthetic is applied before and during the procedure to minimize sensitivity.

What should I do after the treatment?

Follow the post-procedure care instructions carefully:

BROWS Micropigmentation

• During the first 24 hours, gently clean the eyebrows with a damp tissue to remove impurities (e.g. dust, dirt). Do not remove any scabs that may form; the healing process typically lasts between 5 and 15 days.

• Avoid water contact on the eyebrows for 7 days.

• Apply the aftercare cream in a very thin layer, only when dryness occurs – natural healing is preferable, as it helps retain the pigment in the skin.

• Do not use make-up, lotions, or skincare products on the eyebrows for 7 days.

• Avoid intense workouts, swimming pools, saunas, or direct sun exposure during the healing phase.

• Avoid sun exposure for 7 days. After this period, sun exposure should only be allowed with SPF 50 sun cream, ideally combined with hat and sunglasses.

• Always apply sunscreen to the eyebrows, regardless of the season, to prevent premature fading of the pigment.

• Always avoid chemical substances or exfoliating procedures on the eyebrows, as these may cause premature loss of pigment.

LIPS Micropigmentation

  • Please refer to your GP for advice on taking antiherpetic medication (like Acyclovir, Zovirax) for 3 consecutive days after procedure.

  • During the first 24 hours, gently clean the lips with a damp tissue to remove impurities (e.g. dust, dirt). Do not remove any scabs that may form; the healing process typically lasts between 5 and 15 days.

  • Apply the aftercare cream in a very thin layer, only when dryness occurs – natural healing is preferable, as it helps retain the pigment in the skin.

  • Avoid water contact on the lips as much as possible for 7 days.

  • Use a straw for drinks in the first 7 days to reduce friction.

  • Avoid hot drinks, spicy/salty foods, and alcohol for the first 7 days to minimize irritation and dryness.

  • No kissing, smoking, or heavy sweating until the lips are healed.

  • Avoid intense workouts, swimming pools, saunas, or direct sun exposure during the healing phase.

  • Always apply sunscreen to the lips (SPF 50), once healed, regardless of the season, to prevent premature fading of the pigment and prolong results.

Is there any downtime?

There’s minimal downtime. Most clients return to normal activities the same or next day.

How long does micropigmentation last?

Results typically last between 1 to 3 years, depending on each individual's pigment retention, skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Touch-ups are recommended to maintain the desired look.
